Recently built to a high specification, up to four people can be comfortably housed in a master ensuite double and additional twin room. Open to visit throughout the year, Merrenglee is approximately eight miles from the ferry port of Stromness and within walking distance of all village amenities which include a pub serving food, supermarket, petrol station, hairdressers, post office, pharmacy and doctors surgery – everything you could need whilst away!
Throughout Orkney there is always plenty to do from sightseeing to more specialised interests and activities. There’s the opportunity to enjoy walking or cycling on country roads and trails, with free loch and sea fishing nearby. Bird and wildlife watchers can explore seven RSPB reserves on the mainland and there are several archaeological sites of interest locally. Diving excursions for all ages and abilities are also available in Stromness. A secluded location without being isolated Merrenglee is the ideal base from which to recharge the batteries and explore glorious Orkney. Do come and make yourselves at home.
