From Dumfries Station it is a 25 mile car journey/ taxi journey along the A711 Dalbeattie/ Kirkcudbright Road.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Glasgow it is a 100 mile car journey. From the M76 take the A701 to Dumfries and then A711 to Dalbeattie/ Kirkcudbright.
Getting There by Ferry
From Stranraer it is a 70 mile car journey along the A75 to Castle Douglas and then the A710 to Auchencairn.
