Double/ Twin Bedded Room
These rooms differ in size and outlook but are all decorated and equipped to the same high standard. Most of our Twin / Double rooms are in the main house but we also offer more secluded accommodation in Rufflets Lodge or the Gatehouse. Choose a twin/double room with a garden view or a whirlpool spa bath!!
Suite Accommodation
Choose either The Gilroy Suite in the hotel or the Orchard Suite in Rufflets Lodge. Suites feature a separate lounge with magnificent views over the garden and luxury en-suite bathrooms.
Turret Rooms
Choose the four poster Turret Room (Room 5) which has been voted Britain's most romantic hotel bedroom, or one of the king size double Turret Rooms. All three rooms have stunning views of our award winning gardens.
Family Accommodation
Choose from Room 8 in the main house, with one large double and one twin room separated by a luxury bathroom or Rufflets Lodge family room, with master bedroom, children's bedroom and bathroom. Alternatively, you may prefer our Lodges, which have a self catering option (see below).
Gate House
Located in the main drive of the hotel, our Gate House offers more secluded accommodation. Our Gate House has two twin bedded rooms and one double.
The Terrace Restaurant
Rufflets Terrace Restaurant in St Andrews has been awarded two AA Rosettes for the past six years in recognition of the high standard of food.
Our head chef, Mark Nixon, makes full use of Scotland's natural larder when selecting produce for our daily changing menus. Prime Scottish reared beef, hill fed lamb, venison, fish and seafood landed at East Neuk harbours feature regularly. Locally grown vegetables, soft fruits and herbs supplement our own seasonal garden produce. Fresh pastas, ice creams and sorbets are all made in house.
Cooking is light, in the modern Scottish style, with emphasis on enhancing the natural flavours of the ingredients and on presentation. To complement our menus a range of approx 100 wines from around the world, including a half bottle selection, is stocked.
Weddings at Rufflets
One of the oldest established, Luxury Country House Hotels in Scotland, Rufflets is the perfect wedding venue for a Scottish country wedding, with a choice of elegantly proportioned public rooms for a reception or ceremony and 24 individually designed bedrooms to accommodate up to 48 wedding guests.
Our wedding promise, as one of the top wedding venues in Scotland, is to provide the ultimate in service and attention to detail, and we will tailor make your wedding to your own specific requirements. We recognise that the planning of your wedding is crucial in ensuring that your big day is the most memorable and enjoyable day of your life, and we offer the services of a wedding co-ordinator from our experienced management team, who will assist you in planning all the service aspects of your wedding.
Rufflets Gardens
Rufflets' ten acre gardens are a joy to behold and are one of the hotels greatest assets. The gardens have won many national awards over the years, including the UK Benson & Hedges Hotel garden of the year. Rufflets has also participated in Scotlands Gardens Scheme, where gardens are open to the public on specific days during the year.
Rufflets head gardener, Andy Duncan, has lovingly tended the gardens for 28 years, planning stunning, colourful borders and supplying the hotel with freshly cut flowers, fruits, vegetables and herbs throughout the season, in addition to keeping the acres of grass and formal hedges neatly trimmed.
Rufflets gardens are much sought after for wedding photography, as the romantic streams, bridges and mature trees provide an ideal backdrop for memorable photographs. The terrace and lower garden is also licensed for civil marriage ceremonies. Marquee weddings on the west lawn are also popular.
