Getting there from the Information Centre

From Melrose Tourist Information Centre - up Abbey Street, turn right at Market Square and turn down the High Street. We are 200 yards down on the left.

Getting There by Car

From the South A1 /A696 (Ponteland; Jedurgh). A696 to A68 (Jedburgh & Edinburgh). A68 to junction with A6091. A6091 turn left 1.5miles (2.5km) turn right into Melrose.
From M6. Carlisle junction A7 North (Selkirk; Galashiels; Edinburgh). A7 to Galashiels turn right at roundabout A6091 Melrose. At second roundabout take 2nd exit (Melrose). At Rugby Club turn right and follow onto hotel car park.
From North. A7 Galashiels towards Jedburgh. After leaving built up area go straight through 2 rounabouts at 3rd rounabout take 2nd exit then turn right at Rugby Club
From North A68 (Jedburgh) through Earlston. At roundabout take 3rd exit A6091 for 1.5miles (2.5km) turn right at Melrose sign. Follow road through Melrose market square and hotel is 200metres on left.

Getting There by Railway

Train journies can be terminated at Berwick-upon-Tweed or Edinburgh.
From Berwick Upon Tweed. A1167 - A698 junction A1/A698 to Kelso A699 junction A68/A699 - A68 junction A6091 Melrose. Total journey 37.3 miles.

From Edinburgh. Bus from St Andrews station X95 or 62.
By car follow any exit route south bound to A720. Turn left onto A720 Bypass (eastwards). At traffic light controlled roundabout (Sherrifhall) take either A68 or A7 exit. NOTE A68 recommended.
Follow A68 (Jedburgh) through Earlston to junction with A6091 & take 3rd exit for 1.5mile (2.5km). Turn right at Melrose junction and follow road through market square. Hotel is 200metres down the High Street on the left. Total jouney 38 miles.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Edinburgh Airport follow city bypass (A720) eastbound to the Sheriffhall roundabout. Then take A68 south through Dalkeith and continue to junction with A6091. At roundabout take 3rd exit and follow signs for Melrose 1.5miles (2.5km). Turn right and follow through market square & hotel is 200 metres down the High Street on the left Total journey 45.3 miles.

Getting There by Ferry

From Newcastle - A167 junction A1/A167/A696/B6918 - A696 - A68 Rochester, A68 junction A68/A6091 - A6091 Melrose. Total journey 69 miles.
