Peebles Hotel Hydro is set within 30 acres in the stunning Scottish Borders, only 22 miles from Edinburgh. This Privately Owned hotel with 128 bedrooms commands a magnificent view over the Cademuir Valley from its hilltop position. Peebles Hydro has just (April 2003) been awarded Four Stars with the AA, making Peebles Hydro the only four star hotel in the Scottish Borders. This regrading is due to substantial investment in upgrading bedrooms and bar areas coupled with outstanding service. Peebles Hydro is now in the top 40 AA hotels in Scotland.
Business facilities at the hotel consist of 6 smart meeting rooms, plus the magnificent ballroom. Maximum capacity theatre style in the ballroom is 450 delegates. However we can also accommodate smaller numbers with ease. The hotel has many very loyal, long-standing conferences that all praise the facilities and the staff highly.
Leisure facilities at the hotel at first class, with a substantial 20x10 metre indoor pool which averages a balmy 30C. On the poolside we have a steam room, sauna, spa bath and a relaxation area with sun loungers. Also within the leisure complex is a state of the art gym area offering all the latest in cardio vascular equipments.
For children we can offer a Kidz Klub, which is open every day offering a wide range of activities e.g. face painting, treasure hunts etc. There is also a soft-play area, painting room and a TV room. Outside there is an adventure play area for the children and putting, pitch nputt, tennis courts and horse riding for the adults. The hotel is on the doorstep of the World Famous Glentress Forest where there are miles of specially laid tracks for mountain biking enthusiasts. Mountain bike hire can be arranged by the hotel or down at the Forest.
