When you come to stay at Tomvale you will be staying in the heart of Highland Perthshire on a family farm. Tomvale is in the heart of a 425 acre upland farm specialising in prime Scotch Beef & Lamb. In 1980 the farm entered into an Environmental Sensitive Area Scheme which has enhanced the Wildlife, Flora and Fauna. You could join up with the Highland Safari Team and take to the hills by four wheel drive vehicles, a means to which you can often see more than being on foot.
The property is situated 850ft above sea level so commands many excellent views over the Upper Tay Valley. It comprises of one en-suite double room, one en-suite twin room suitable for wheelchair access, one double room and one twin room with shared bathroom with shower over bath, fitted kitchen, lounge with sunroom, a patio and barbecue area.
Being situated in Highland Perthshire 'The Heart of Scotland', it is ideally situated for travelling to Edinburgh, Inverness, Oban and Fort William which are all within a 2-3 hour drive. But why drive when there are loads to do within the local area. There are gardens to visit, Cluny Gardens which features in the Big Tree Country, and Bolfracks Garden, Castles to see, many golf courses to play, or you can just sit back and take in the ambience that surrounds this wonderful place.
The arts are well catered for with the Pitlochry Festival Theatre a short drive away. There is also the Theatre in Perth. Glen Lyon Gallery is just along the road from here, there are also Galleries in Aberfeldy as well as The House of Menzies which also caters for the more discerning wine drinker with some of the finest New World wines, as well as an excellent range of fine foods.
With the property only three miles from the old market town of Aberfeldy, it is very close to Dewars Distillery & World of Whisky. There are many interesting shops, a leisure centre with swimming pool for daytime visits and a collection of Hotels and Restaurants for meals and evenings out.
