Whitehouse - St. Boswells

Whitehouse is a country house with views over the fertile farmland of the valley of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders, about an hour south of Edinburgh. It was built in 1872 as a dower house for the Duchess of Sutherland and is warm, spacious and comfortable. Angela and Roger welcome guests to stay in their home.
Roger is an enthusiastic salmon fisherman and is happy to help arrange fishing for guests. Angela's hobby is horse riding and eventing, and she can help arrange riding for visitors at a variety of locations in this beautiful part of Scotland. They both like people to feel at home and share a way of life with a relaxed atmosphere, log fires, home cooked dinners, home baking.
Angela enjoys cooking (Dinner is optional, but recommended!). Food is an enjoyment at Whitehouse. Majority of the ingredients are local, and there's an emphasis on Scottish game.
The views from all the rooms are just wonderful.
