The Craig (Castle Douglas)
After 20 years of farmhouse B&B, Jim and I have moved into Castle Douglas where we offer comfortable spacious accommodation in our homely, family run B&B. This large sandstone villa close to the golf course is an ideal base for touring, walking, golfing, fishing, bird-watching and cycling and only a short walk from the town centre.
Castle Douglas Food Town offers a variety of shops and eating places. There is a swimming pool, theatre and small brewery. The public library has Internet access. Nearby are Threave Castle, Threave Gardens, Red Kite Trail, Loch Ken with water sports, and many lovely gardens, walks and beaches to enjoy.
We are located approximately 0.3 miles from Castle Douglas town clock on the A713 Ayr road. There is private parking at the rear of the house and secure store for bicycles.
We can sleep up to six guests and are a totally non-smoking establishment.
Our facilities consist of:
Room 2 - a double room with shower, w.c and wash basin en-suite.
Room 3 - a single room with wash basin and shares a bathroom Room 5
Room 4 - a double and single bed but can be used as a twin. There is an electric shower,w.c and wash basin en-suite
Room 5 - a twin room with a wash basin en-suite, with a private bathroom, electric shower over bath or share bathroom with Room 3
All rooms have tea/coffee facilities, TV, central heating and back-up heater. Hair dryer available. Visitor information leaflets and maps.
Breakfast is served at a pre-arranged time between 7.00am and 9.00am. There is a choice of fruit juice, fruit, yoghurt and cereals followed with a cooked breakfast (order taken the previous evening), toast and tea/coffee. Most diets can be catered for, given notice.
