Getting there from the Information Centre

From Rothesay TIC: head south along the coast road. After approx. 3 miles (5km) and on passing the 30 m.p.h. de restriction sign turn immediately right into Balmory Road. The entrance to Balmory Hall is approximately. 120 yards.

Getting There by Railway

From Glasgow Central: take the train for Wemyss Bay, the ferry terminal for the Isle of Bute.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Glasgow Airport: join M8 then A8 towards Greenock. At Greenock follow signs marked "Bute Ferry" and Largs onto A78. Follow until Wemyss Bay village and then turn right into the ferry terminal. Journey time approximately 45 minutes.
From Prestwick Airport: join A78 towards Irvine, Ardrossan and Largs. Follow until Wemyss Bay village and then turn left into the ferry terminal. Journey time approximately. 60 minutes.
