Glengolly

Glengolly Bed and Breakfast is sited in Durness the most north westerly village on the British Mainland, in the beautiful and remote area of Cape Wrath in the North west Highlands of Scotland. We offer traditional Scottish hospitality with friendly service. The modernised croft house has a traditional character and many features of the original house. The proprietor, Martin Mackay, is a full time crofter and is informative about the ways and methods of crofting life. You can watch Border Collies at work. Glengolly is situated in the old village township Durine near the centre of the village and makes an ideal situation to explore the parish and the surrounding area. The name Glengolly is from the Gaelic Gleanna Gallaidh "Glen of the Stranger" and was made famous by the local Gaelic bard Rob Donn
