Orasay B&B, located in the centre of Uig, definitely the nearest accommodation to the ferry for the Western Isles. The bus from Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh stops directly across the road from your accommodation.
Whatever the weather you will get a friendly warm welcome from Orasay. We now have a tea room where if the smell of the home baking wets your appetite, you may partake of the famous fresh smoked salmon from the Uists,( winner of gold awards and Rick Steins food heroes) home cooked ham on the bone or one of the home baked cakes. There are many points of interest in the local vicinity, including the quiraing, kilt rock, fairy glen and the museum of Island life to name but a few, or take time out to gaze upwards to spot the golden eagles soaring above Uig bay. Take a stroll across the road on the pier, watch the fishermen unloading their catch, spot the local seals in the bay or the basking sharks, or sometimes dolphins may be seen.
