Oatfield House - Images
An aerial view of the House and gardens.
The entrance hall.
The House, seen from the North West, across the pond.
A blazing open fire in the Parlour, which is for the exclusive use of our guests.
Mousa - named after the island in the Shetlands.
Breakfast is served in the Dining Room.
A doe and two fawns on the front lawn. Roe deer are regular visitors throughout the year and almost permanent residents during the winter and early spring.
The Double Room en-suite. A comfortable bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom, this faces south over the walled garden and woods beyond.
A view over the garden from one of the double bedrooms. The large palm tree in the centre is an indicator of how mild our climate is here, thanks to the Gulf Stream. The garden itself is maintained as a wildflower meadow.
The Double/Family Room en-suite. A large double bedroom, this has a full en-suite with shower and bidet. There is optionally space for one (or two at a bit of a squeeze) additional fold up bed for a child. Please enquire.
Islay and Cara, our two miniature Shetland ponies.
The Twin Room en-suite. With two single beds and a full en-suite with large shower, this faces toward the West over the gardens and farmland and out to the islands of Islay and Jura beyond.
A view from the Iron Age fort at the top of the hill behind the house, across the sea to Islay. You are more than welcome to walk up here, but it might be a little muddy, so bring suitable footwear!
George and William piping - both members of the Kintyre Schools Juvenile Pipe Band, the current Scottish Champions.
A typical sunset, taken from garden, behind the stables.
