Auld Cummerton

Auld Cummerton is a 5 Star B&B and is a member of Scotland's Best B&Bs. Located in its own woodland in the upper reaches of Strathdon within the scenic grandeur of the Cairngorm National Park. Auld Cummerton offers comfort and tranquility in this beautiful part of Scotland.

The property dates from 1760 and has been recently and lovingly restored by owners, Carole and Bruce Luffman. The two beautiful guest rooms are available with quite outstanding views to the South and Royal Deeside. The double room has a magnificent Stuart period 4 poster bed dressed in authentic period furnishings. The twin, that can operate as a 6 foot wide double bed, is stylishly furnished with a beautiful French toile of the Louis XVI period. The ensuite shower rooms are very luxuriously appointed with large and powerful showers. The cosy drawing room is available for guest use with books and maps provided to plan the day's activities.

For breakfast, feast on Scottish bacon, kippers, free range eggs, fresh fruits, home made bread and our own spring water from Cummerton Hill. There are track walks from the house and an excellent old inn for evening meals barely a mile away. Auld Cummerton is a completely non smoking house. A single supplement applies by negotiation.
