Greenbrae Farmhouse
Greenbrae Farmhouse is a 19th Century Farmhouse extended to provide comfortable ground floor bed and breakfast accommodation. In the 2004 Aberdeen & Grampian Northern Lights Tourism Awards, Greenbrae Farmhouse received a highly commended certificate in the Visitor Experience category.
A warm welcome awaits you at this rural retreat. You will be greeted with refreshments on your arrival that you can take in the sunroom, which has extensive views over the rolling Buchan countryside. In your room you will find a hospitality tray with a wide variety of teas, coffee, hot choclate, fruit and biscuits. As well as the sun room there is the snug, which is a cosy sitting room with a log fire.
Breakfast is served between 7.30 and 9.00 or earlier if youi wish, when you can sample fresh eggs from our own hens. A healthy, low fat, three-course evening meal can be provided on request using fresh, local ingredients wherever possible. Most of the vegetables are fresh from the fields via "veg in a box" more and more are from Greenbrae's own garden. Evening meals available by arrangement.
Our library is at your disposal and contains a wide selection of books, maps, local information and a reference section to help you identify the wildlife you will encounter. From Greenbrae you will be able to explore Banff & Buchan the "Hidden Corner" of North East Scotland. There are plenty of castles to visit. The Whisky distilleries of Speyside are within easy driving distance. The coast has miles of golden beaches, dramatic cliffs and picturesque fishing villages. There are many golf courses, including one in Longside itself and the famous Cruden Bay course within easy reach. Art galleries include Duff house within which Jack Vettriano exhibits. Museums range from the prehistory Archaeolink to Aden Country Park working farm.
