Lochhouse Farm Retreat Centre

Picturesquely situated on the Southern Upland Way and close to the attractive town of Moffat, this farmhouse is an excellent base for exploring the south of Scotland and offers B&B or self-catering.

For visitors touring to the Highlands and islands of Scotland, Lochhouse Farm, situated on junction 15 of the M74, is an ideal stopover. Whether you are travelling as a family, a couple, or on your own, this is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.

The homely farmhouse is set in 9 acres of land and has a delightful courtyard and steading, providing both B&B and self-catering accommodation. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated and the breakfast menu offers a variety of delicious options. Evening meals and packed lunches can be provided if required. For all other meals, a good choice of restaurants, pubs, cafés and local stores are located close-by.

Additionally, free Wi-Fi access, off-road parking and drying facilities are provided to make your stay a comfortable one.

Moffat’s tree-lined high street is filled with independently owned stores perfect for browsing for that special gift to take home. Satisfy a sweet tooth with traditional toffee, made at the Moffat Toffee Shop from a family recipe since the late 1800s, or head to the Moffat Woollen Mill where you can browse some of the very best in Scottish knitwear - you can even watch the weaver making the cloth for the products on traditional Hattersley looms.

The area is excellent for hillwalking on the local section of the Southern Upland Way, cycling and the nearby River Annan is great for fishing. This is also an excellent base for touring, offering easy access to the romantic town of Gretna Green, the market town of Dumfries and the beautiful Solway Coast.
