WINDWARD B & B SCALLOWAY
LOCATION
Situated in the Central Mainland of Shetland on the outskirts of the peaceful village of Scalloway, next to the Atlantic Ocean with lovely views of the sea and nearby islands. Windward is a very friendly small family run B&B, catering for every kind of visitor including children.
With only a 10 minute drive to the main town of Lerwick, Windward is an ideal base to explore Shetland or for businessmen to commute.
Windward is approximately a 10 minute drive from the Lerwick Ferry Terminal and Tingwall Airport (where you can fly to the outlying islands) and a 40 minute drive from Sumburgh Airport and the North Isles Ferry Terminal at Toft.
Visitor attractions such as Scalloway Castle, Scalloway Museum and Trondra Croft Trail can all be found nearby.
Scalloway itself has much to offer including restaurants, excellent lunches/evening meals/bar suppers available at local hotel, bars, shops, swimming pool and post office - all close at hand.
ACCOMMODATION
Windward has 3 rooms available, one twin room with ensuite shower and toilet, one double room with private bathroom and one family room with ensuite shower and toilet. All rooms are decorated to a high standard offering comfortable accommodation with good quality furnishings. Delicious home cooked breakfast including vegetarian requests (with prior notice) and healthy options are served daily in our conservatory/dining area which has a beautiful panoramic view. Packed lunches are also available on request.
Guests are welcome to relax in the conservatory during their stay at Windward.

Asta Golf Course and Dale Golf Course are both approximately 3 miles away.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Local bus services to Lerwick and Burra are frequent and a bus stop can be found just a couple of minutes walk away. This bus service can connect with some (not all) Airport/Ferry departures and arrivals
HOW TO GET HERE
Windward is located at the west side on the outskirts of the village of Scalloway. As you approach the village you will see the 'Welcome to Scalloway' sign. About 200m further on there is a small mini roundabout just drive straight through it (not the left fork as that takes you to the harbour) carry on until you come to another mini roundabout and take a right turn there. Drive straight along the shore and you will pass a small marina on your left then you will see the North Atlantic Marine College also on your left. Carry on up the hill past the college. On your left you will see a crash barrier just follow it until it ends (it veers left on to a little side road half way up the hill) and Windward is on your right. You will see an old fashioned ship's lifebelt on the wall with Windward on it.

ABOUT US
Ian and Beth (the owners) are very keen walkers/kayakers and are more than happy to give you guidance on many of the lovely walks/paddling trips that can be found in Shetland. They can also provide you with a video/dvd on what to do and see in Shetland.
Ian and Beth will give you a good warm welcome every time you stay at Windward and will do everything they can to make your stay memorable.
