Upper Hatton
All you've ever imagined about homely Scottish hospitality is available at Upper Hatton. But a mile or so from Dunkeld up a track leading to one of the most idyllic Lochs in Scotland, immortalised by painters for over two centuries, Upper Hatton is a 17th Century farmhouse totally restored in 1990. Stone built with all mod cons, a spacious sitting room for guests and a kitchen with Red Stove on which owner Marjory Ann cooks to order for breakfast; traditional Scottish baking a speciality.
Outside are views of Highland cattle, peacocks strut in the grounds, white doves fly overhead and deer visit most mornings.
Bedrooms with south facing views over the hills are comfortable, including one ensuite room with a four poster bed; one super king double with private bathroom; and a twin room also with private bathroom.
Owned and run by Marjory Anderson, whose cooking skills match her encyclopedic knowledge of local places to visit, eat and shop.
