Achnamara

Achnamara house is a large, comfortable and informal home set on the Firth of Lorn, off the main road in the attractive village of Connel, 5 miles from the port of Oban in the heart of Argyll.
It is ideally situated for the pursuit of various outdoor activities and visiting the areas main attractions. Within easy walking distance to pub, restaurants and village shop, rail station and bus stop.
Achnamara has an extensive garden with prize winning rhododendrons and azalea display in May. The garden extends directly onto the shore and overlooks the tidal Falls of Lora with beautiful views of the mountains and islands.
The large drawing room overlooks the sea and has an open log fire. The comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation can be up or downstairs.
A seashore hut with wood burning stove is open to guests for relaxing, reading, birdwatching, drying of wet weather gear or if unoccupied, smokers.
A small organic vegetable garden provides some seasonal breakfast produce and home made preserves.
