Rowanbank
Rowanbank is a white painted old Arran cottage which has been recently renovated, and although one end of this long house is close to the country road the house has fine countryside views.
It is situated in Machrie with spectacular scenery across the Kilbrannan Sound to Kintyre and the sea is only a few minutes walk down a lane.
The cottage is all on one level and is entered by a large south facing porch with plenty of room for two to three people to sit. From here we enter the hall/dining room with fireplace and door to the large enclosed garden, with views over Machrie Bay.
Parking is plentiful and a local bus service runs to Blackwaterfoot from the stop nearby. The house has electric heating throughout and is double glazed.
There is a fully fitted kitchen adjacent to the hall/dining room with equipment including sink, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and electric mixer. Next to the kitchen in the utility room is a sink, washing machine and tumble dryer, and a cloakroom.
Comfort at Rowanbank includes a large sitting room with open fireplace and vaulted ceiling. A new flat screen television and Sky Freeview have recently been installed.
There are 2 en-suite twin bedrooms, one with a walk-in shower. There is also a single 2'6" bed in the dressing room. Rowanbank sleeps 4-5 people and well behaved dogs are welcome.
There is outbuilding space for bicycles.
A BBQ is available, and coal is provided at an additional cost.
