The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances including dishwasher, and the chic dining area can comfortably seat a party of six. During your stay, you can discover there’s plenty to see and do just a short walk or drive from the lodge. Those with an interest in history will be impressed by the medieval stronghold Caerlaverock Castle where you can learn of its turbulent past, while for outdoor activities it is difficult to beat Galloway Forest’s 300 square miles of captivating landscapes, trails and wildlife. Golfers face a testing 9-hole challenge in Gatehouse and nearby towns Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright are within easy driving distance.
