Glengorm Estate - Images
The Terrace Flat- Sleeps 6
The flat is located on the ground floor of the castle overlooking the front lawns. There are spectacular views over the North Atlantic to the Outer Hebrides from every room.
There is also a deep Victorian pedestal bath - perfect for soaking in after a hard day's fishing or walking. The kitchen houses what was once the castle strong room, complete with a solid steel door.
Sorne Cottages- both sleep 6
These are about 100 yards from the Estate Farm and are reached by a short farm track. They were once part of Glengorm school but now provide guests with a peaceful, rural setting.
Both cottages are furnished very comfortably, and there are open fires, which guests are welcome to use. Rabbits and hares are often seen on the cottage lawns and delightful hill and forest walks await you just a few yards from the front door.
The Lodge- Sleeps 4
The Lodge, which used to be the post office for the estate, is situated at the castle gates and has its own garden.
In early summer it is surrounded by rhododendrons and foxgloves in bloom. There is a cosy wood stove in the sittingroom. The bedrooms are attractive and spacious.
Cnoc Fuar- Sleeps 4
Situated midway between Tobermory and Glengorm, this is the perfect base for the naturalist and the walker.
Cnoc Fuar is set in rolling moorland, the haunt of red grouse, hen harrier and golden eagle. Red deer roam the hills above the cottage, while the volcano loch, Lochan 'S Airde Beinn, lies a 30 minute walk away.
Dunara- Sleeps 2
Dunara Cottage is situated below the castle near the walled garden, facing the sea.
The cottage has been fully refitted with an up to date interior but retains a cosy and traditional feel with an open fire in the sitting room.
The private garden has its own log shed. It is ideal for one or two persons.
Lephin - Sleeps 5
Lephin Cottage enjoys a very peaceful setting to the east of the castle and is accessed by a short farm track.
The cottage has been fitted with a modern kitchen. The sitting room is very cosy with a wood burning stove. The shore is a ten minute walk through the fields with a number of secluded rocky bays to explore.
