Admire the delightful waterside views of the Urr Estuary at Kippford and if you fancy being captain for a day, you can set sail down the estuary from the village itself. The picturesque village of Rockliffe is close by and ideal for a walk to take in the beautiful scenery. Mabie and Dalbeattie forests with their world-class 7stanes mountain biking centres are also just a short drive away. If you are visiting the area on a golfing holiday, the region is well-known for its magnificent courses including nearby championship links course, Southerness.
