Abun-da-Voe is a modern, spacious, self-contained Scandinavian-style property situated in the picturesque village of Cunningsburgh.

This is an attractive two-storey property, which has been built to a very high standard throughout. Refurbished in Summer 2010 and awarded 4 star rating by Visit Scotland.

Abun-da-Voe is the ideal countryside base from which to explore Shetland. The capital, Lerwick, is only a 15-minute drive to the north, with Sumburgh Airport a 20-minute drive to the south.

This quiet, coastal location is ideal for fishing (including sea trout in Aithsvoe), birdwatching and hill-walking, with the property overlooking Aithsvoe itself and the recently constructed pleasure-boat Marina.

The village shop, community hall and public service bus route are all within walking distance, whilst the neighbouring village of Sandwick boasts a modern municipal swimming pool, shop, Visitor Centre and Public House. From here you can take a boat to visit the spectacular Mousa Broch.

Slightly further south, at Sumburgh, you will find the renowned Iron Age Villages of Jarlshof and Old Scatness. Sumburgh is also home to numerous beautiful beaches including the magnificent St. Ninian’s Isle.

Accomodation Comprises:-

Ground Floor

• Spacious entrance vestibule with seating area and storage cupboard

• Large bathroom with bath, overhead shower and heated towel rail

First Floor

• Large, open plan kitchen, fully furnished with all the usual mod cons

• Comfortable lounge area with 32" LCD TV with Freeview and blu-ray DVD player

• Spacious double bedroom with ample space for a cot/small bed and excellent views over Aithsvoe and the village of Cunningsburgh; re-furnished with solid wood furniture in 2010

There is also a large lawn area with rotary drier and outdoor seating.

Children’s toys and outdoor equipment are available upon request.

Open all year round. We generally operate Saturday to Saturday bookings during peak season (May to September inclusive). Shorter stays during non-peak times will also be considered. Our standard weekly rate is from £400 to £600 (£57.14 to £85.71 per night) with a premium rate applicable over the festive period, festivals, events etc (details on request.)
