Tir Alainn - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

From Broadford take main road A87 out towards Skye Bridge. Travel 2.5 miles and turn sharp left at phone box just after small post office at Breakish. Take single track road for 300 metres and turn right at small offset crossroads. We are 250 metres along - 2nd house on the right.

Getting There by Railway

From Kyle Of Lochalsh take route over Skye Bridge. Leave the Skye Bridge and take the 3rd exit at the mini roundabout heading on the A87 for Broadford.
Travel approximately 4.5 miles until you come upon the small township of Breakish and look out for the Alba Restaurant (old white schoolhouse) on your left. You will need to turn sharp right about 100 metres after the restaurant onto a single track road and follow it for 300 metres until you come to a small offset crossroads. Turn right at the crossroads and we are 250 metres further on ,the 2nd house on the right.
Total journey time from the Skye Bridge-10 minutes.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Inverness head for Fort William A87 then follow signs for Skye Bridge. From Glasgow take route through Loch Lomondside to Fort William via Crianlarich and Tyndrum and Glen Coe. Take route A82 then A87 from Invergarry to Skye.

Getting There by Ferry

Leave the ferry and head on the main road to Broadford, theA851, driving for approximately 15 miles until you join the A87. Turn right and head through the small township of Scullamus into Breakish.
After about half a mile, look out for a left hand fork at the top of the hill with a sign for Lower Breakish. Take this road which runs parallel to the main road. It is single track. You will pass through a small set of crossroads and then we are 250 metres along on the right. ( 2nd house on the right )
If you pass the Alba Restaurant on your right you have gone too far on the main road .
If this happens just take the sharp left turn about 100 yards before the restaurant. It is also marked Lower Breakish.
