Information enquiry Booking

In addition to being a member of Scotland's Best B&Bs with a Scottish Tourist Board grading of 5 Stars, Lethamhill has been awarded 5 Stars by the AA and is one of the top B&Bs in the country. It also holds the Welcome Host and Scotland's Best Service certificates.

This large, detached villa is a grade B listed building designed by John Burnett in 1911. Set in its own secluded grounds, this delightful and unique house has fine views of the Clyde Estuary and the Arran peaks beyond.

Lethamhill is a veritable Aladdin's Cave of fascinating collectables and memorabilia from old typewriters to slot machines.

We are also the proud owners of one of the old red telephone boxes which now stands in our garden!

Lethamhill offers 3 spacious and thoughtfully decorated bedrooms with views of the Clyde Estuary.

The 3 double rooms (one can be used as a family room or twin as it has an extra bed) all have en-suite bathrooms (including baths and showers), TV, tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities, dressing gowns.

Lethamhill is situated in Helensburgh - birthplace of John Logie Baird, the inventor of television. We are close to Hillhouse, the home of Charles Rennie Mackintosh which is now owned by the National Trust and is open to the public.

What to See and Do

From Helensburgh Pier take a boat trip on the Waverley - the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world.

Visit scenic Loch Lomond which is just a few minutes drive from us.

Take a day trip to the Isle of Bute (the Victorian gothic splendour of Mount Stuart House and the ruins of old Rothesay Castle are not to be missed).

Have a relaxing day on the West Highland Line watching the best of Scotland's scenery from the comfort of the train. One of the world's most famous train journeys, the trip can take you from Glasgow to Fort William and then along the Road the Isles to Mallaig, or to Oban on the shorter route.

For sporting visitors, there are lots of opportunities for golf and fishing.
