Sandeman House

We welcome you to our family home. Built in 1860 by Architect David MacGibbon, it is an historic “B” Listed building in a Conservation Area with all the original features faithfully preserved. Individually furnished; comfortable, bright and tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Hand pressed white linen, comfy beds and little personal touches beautifully presented .
The sunny South-facing dining room overlooks the garden. We serve a wonderful full traditional Scottish breakfast, including home-made preserves and soft fruits in season.
We are centrally situated at Holycorner in the Conservation Area of Merchiston /Bruntsfield and Morningside. The fashionable neighbourhood with its individual shops, bars and restaurants has retained the village atmosphere of long ago, although it is now integrated into the City. It remains popular with locals and visitors
Our home is within easy walking distance of most City attractions and only a mile south of Edinburgh Castle. We are three miles from the city bypass (either Lothianburn or Colinton junctions). Sandeman House is just off the A702 at Bruntsfield / Holycorner
