a non-smoking tastefully furnished, centrally heated bungalow with private parking. Set in a peaceful old walled garden surrounded by trees, yet within easy walking distance of the centre of Portree.

Both rooms have a comfortable king-size bed, with an electric blanket for extra snugness, plus a hospitality tray, television, hairdryer, and a host of little extras to make you stay more comfortable.
Modern fitted bathrooms
Both en-suite bathrooms have a WC, a wash-hand basin, a shower plus a full size bath. Fluffy white towels including a large bathsheet are provided.
The ground floor lounge / dining room is exclusively for guests' use.
A "Medina" cooked breakfast willl suit all tastes, the traditional selection includes the famous "Stornoway" black pudding and free range eggs. There is also a choice of Mallaig Kippers, Smoked Haddock and Scottish Smoked Salmon. (Special dietary requirements can be catered for with prior notice)
Chilled fruits, yoghurts and cereals are offered in addition to traditional Scottish porridge, and all finished with toasted "Bakers'" bread served with home made marmalade and jam.
In the evening sit quietly in the lounge to reflect on your day, and browse through the many lovely books including many reference books, whilst deciding on your next day's plans with the help of the maps, guides and walking books.
Sit outside in the south facing garden where the only the sound is of the many garden birds - or take a short stroll down to the north shore of Portree bay where seals and herons are regularly sighted. Close by is the popular coastal walk to "Black Rock" and Scorrybreac the ancestral home of the Nicholson Clan. Experience the wonderful views of the Cuillin Mountains and the Sound of Raasay
Portree - the island's Capital
Portree is only a 10 minute walk away where you will find many excellent restaurants, the shops, the bus terminal, and the picturesque old harbour from which many boat trips are available.
It is the ideal centre from which to tour Skye. Your hosts Tony and Judith have a wealth of knowledge of the island and can advise you where you will find many of the "off the beaten track" treasures
The History of Skye
Skye has a long and varied history - from the spectacular rock formations of "The Quiraing" and the "Old Man of Storr" - the "Brochs" from the Scottish Iron Age - Trumpan - the site of a tragic dispute in 1578 between the MacDonalds and the MacLeods - the old fishing village of Stein founded in 1787 - Dunvegan Castle said to be the oldest inhabited castle in Britain, and home of the Chief of the Clan MacLeod.
