The Old School House

The Old School House, built in the late 18th century, lies within the Trossachs and Loch Lomond National Park less than a mile from the loch. This spacious house is divided into two parts with private accommodation at one side and a separate entrance for guests. The property is in a rural environment with a substantial garden enjoying panoramic views over farmland and the nature conservation area towards Loch Lomond.

The property layout is suited to small groups or individuals alike, and we welcome people on activity breaks. Should you be walkers, cyclists, golfers or water sport enthusiasts, we will be able to help you out should you need to dry your clothes or need a hose pipe to wash down the bikes!

Guest accommodation currently comprises three double rooms (one is convertible to a twin). All are en-suite and presented to a very high standard. Rooms have TVs, radios, coffee/tea making facilities and hair dryers. There is a comfortable resident's lounge/diner where guests are invited to try a board game or two, relax with a book or listen to music. The Old School House is licensed and operates a loyalty bar so guests can help themselves to a beer or wine and mark it down as they go.

Rates quoted include full Scottish breakfast including bacon, egg, sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms and black pudding along with a buffet of fruit and fruit juice, cereals, porridge and toast with preserves. Packed lunches are available by prior arrangement to help you through the day. There are plenty of places to eat out within a short drive or bus journey and the hosts will be pleased to point you in the right direction.
