Glengyle House is situated at the entrance to Glen Nevis, just 1 mile from Ben Nevis and 100 yards from the end of the West Highland Way and serves as an ideal base in which to discover the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. We offer 4 star quality accommodation, and all our rooms have an ensuite bathroom.
We serve a traditional Scottish breakfast each morning and we can also provide an alternative that will suit our vegetarian guests. Fort William is a perfect location from which to discover all the attractions and activities that the Highlands and Islands of Scotland have to offer. We have plenty of free parking spaces to the rear of the house and our guests are welcome to relax and enjoy our patio and garden.
The Scottish Highlands, the name alone evokes images of rugged mountains, wild lochs, malt whisky and stunning scenery. There are many small villages and towns in the Highlands, as well a a big city in Inverness and some islands which are inhabited.
Because of the vast differences in this section of the landscape, there are big differences in climate throughout the region. This has led to the Highlands producing a wide range of habitats which has in turn, encouraged an array of wildlife to make homes in the area.
Situated under the shadow of Britain's highest peak, Ben Nevis, Glengyle provides perfect accommodation for walkers and mountain bikers and makes a great base to explore the rugged beauty of this region. Fort William town centre is a pleasant 10 minute walk away where you will find all local amenities, shops and restaurants. The Lochaber area provides an enormous choice of short drives, walks - including the West Highland Way, cycle routes, boat trips and evening entertainment. Further afield day trips to Loch Ness, Skye and Oban are all perfectly feasible.
