Millbrae House 4 star bed and breakfast is a short stroll from Rockcliffe beach and is a welcoming, family run, traditional, Scottish style home offering an informal, friendly atmosphere. We provide both Bed & Breakfast and self-catering accommodation, operate a no smoking policy for the comfort of guests and are open all year round. We are members of Dumfries & Galloway Tourist Board and are part of the Scottish Tourist Board Quality Assurance Scheme.
Rockcliffe is a seaside conservation village located on the scenic Colvend coast, an unspoilt, quiet, peaceful location. Its climate is mild due to the influence of the Gulf Stream and there are many outdoor activities on offer in the area which makes it an ideal holiday destination at any time of year. The surrounding countryside and coast is under the protection of the National Trust and provides many wonderful cliff, moor or forest walks. The Jubilee path leads to Kippford a neighbouring yachting village, a delightful walk with views over the Solway.

All our accommodation has private off-road parking. Also we have a drying room and an equipment lock-up for guests so we welcome cyclists, walkers, sailors, golfers, birdwatchers and fishermen. Each room has an information pack on exciting activities and interesting places to visit in the area.

We have 3 en-suite Bed & Breakfast rooms. Each room is equipped with a refrigerator, television and tea and coffee making facilities. All have ground floor access and Wi Fi. Breakfast which is served in the light, airy, conservatory consists of freshly prepared local produce where ever possible. The breakfast menu includes fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, homemade muesli, fruit juices, oak roast salmon, toast and preserves, porridge or a full cooked Scottish breakfast dependent upon season. We can cater for vegetarians by prior arrangement.
On special occasions we can arrange for flowers, cakes or chocolates to be waiting in your room.
Hestan, our double room has an en-suite bathroom and opens out into a relaxing conservatory which it shares with one other room, Balcary.
Balcary, with en-suite shower room, has both a double bed and a single bed and also opens out into the conservatory. A relaxing place to sit after a busy day. These rooms are popular with parties of four or five.
Drumburn, the studio suite, comprises of a double bedded room opening out on to a lounge with feature fireplace and a comfortable sofa. Drumburn features a small, south facing, private, patio and has it's own external access. This room is available to guests with a well behaved dog. Please advise when booking so that we can make provision for your pet.
Dumfries and Galloway is the perfect location whatever your interests whether it be culture, the arts, crafts, literature, history, outdoor activities, beach-combing or simply relaxing. There are many excellent restaurants and pubs serving local produce and 'real' ales brewed in the area.
Please note: a charge of £2.50 per night for a dog.
