Culdearn House

A small personally run and exclusive hotel situated in the heart of Speyside in the picturesque Highland village of Grantown-on-Spey. Formerly the Country House home of the Earl of Seafield’s family, Culdearn House is a traditional Scottish Victorian granite house built over 100 years ago which has retained many of its original features including wood panelling, fine moulded ceilings and marble fireplaces. Set back from the road and looking out to grounds on the edge of woodland the house is just 10 minutes walking distance from the centre of Grantown-on-Spey.

The Hotel has six exclusive bedrooms all of which have been extensively up-graded over the past few years with beautiful luxury en-suite bathrooms.

Dining at Culdearn House is an experience to remember. Winter log fires, attentive service and simply some of the best food Scotland has to offer. Accolades include AA Red Rosette, AA Wine Award and 3 medallions from The Taste of Scotland as well as being a member of the Scotch Beef Club. The menu changes daily and features prime Scotch Beef, hill fed lamb, fresh fish from the Moray coast, salmon, game and poultry from the local estates. Special diets can be catered for. Dinner is at £32.00 per person per night. Culdearn is also renowned for its selection of special cask strength whiskies.

Ideally situated for touring in the Cairngorms National Park and in the heart of Speyside Whisky country, the hotel is the perfect base for visiting the many attractions in the area including the famous Osprey and Capercaillies, Fishing on the River Spey, Playing Golf on the magnificent courses, Riding the Steam Train, taking a trip on the Funicular to the top of Cairngorm, Exploring Castles and visiting the many Distilleries in the area.
