Galloway Arms Hotel

The Galloway Arms is a traditional hostelry lying midway between the County Town of Dumfries and the busy Market Town of Castle Douglas. These towns are 18 miles apart, so that the Galloway Arms over the years has become fondly referred to as "The Nine Mile Bar". Robert Burns visited the Hotel in 1793 and the Hotel now lies on the "Burns Heritage Trail". Retaining all the charm and character of its village setting, this historic Scottish coaching inn has for 150 years cosseted weary travellers with its friendly service, outstanding cuisine and warm atmosphere, a tradition which the management is happy to continue into the new millenium. All bedrooms are attractively furnished, most have en-suite facilities, whilst all have tea/coffee hospitality tray and colour TV.
