Scottish Highlander is an 8-passenger hotel barge operated by European Waterways, the largest hotel barge operator in Europe. She cruises Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal in the glorious Scottish Highlands from Inverness towards Fort William.

Our luxury, all-inclusive hotel and sightseeing barge, Scottish Highlander, is the only vessel of her type to cruise the Caledonian Canal & Loch Ness.
She can accommodate up to 8 passengers in her four very comfortable cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms. Your stay on board Scottish Highlander will take you on a journey between Inverness and Banavie, Fort William,mooring up each night - a journey which takes 6 nights/7 days.
The itinerary encompasses spectacular scenery with visits to places heavily intermingled with folklore and with delightful views of the local wildlife.
Your relaxing cruise includes all gourmet meals, fine wines, an open bar, sightseeing, entrance fees and transport from and to the joining point in Inverness. Your attentive four-man crew comprises the Captain, master-chef, hostess and tour guide, whose expertise and knowledge of the area will greatly enhance your trip.
Traditional Scottish fare such as salmon, game, venison, seafood and local cheeses - is prepared by your chef, whilst the wine cellar is complemented by a fine selection of single malt whiskies. The open bar adds to the atmosphere of conviviality. Special diets can be catered for if requested in advance.
Excursions are made by minibus to places such as Cawdor Castle, Culloden Moor, Fort Augustus, Urquhart Castle, Eilean Donan and Glencoe, as well as a to a woollen mill and a whisky distillery where you can savour the history and traditions of this beautiful country.
To add variety to your journey, the barge has 6 bicycles so that you can ride alongside on the tow paths between locks. We can also make arrangements for those who wish to play golf, go horseriding or fishing.
Prices for an All-Inclusive 6 night cruise start from £2,090 per person in a twin/double cabin, plus a single cabin occupancy supplement.
Bookings for individual cabins and for whole barge charters up to 8 people are accepted.
