Blair House is a beautiful private home which offers a welcoming environment for private, business and recreational breaks.

Blair, dating back to 1105, is the oldest continually inhabited mansion house in Scotland that has not been rebuilt, and is still privately owned by descendants of the founding family. It has been lovingly restored to a five star standard and is yours alone to enjoy throughout your stay.

We have 14 beautiful bedrooms, all with their own bathroom facilities. Each bedroom is individually furnished with antiques collected by the family over the generations. Blair House can sleep from 8 to 25 guests and, should you need extra accommodation, The Stables and The Carriage House can accommodate a further 12 people. The Stables may be taken independently as self-catering accommodation.

Special dinners can be arranged in our Victorian Dining Room which is intimate enough for a small group or can be arranged to seat up to 60 for a celebration dinner. We offer an historic tour of the house to all our guests and Luke and Caroline are available to personally ensure that all your needs are met. Blair House is nestled in its own extensive grounds which include beautiful gardens with magnificent mature trees, a heated outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a croquet lawn and peaceful walks. A wide variety of entertainment is available nearby including sailing, clay pigeon shooting , Kelburn Country Park, Falconry, Culture, and visits to the Island of Arran, Bute and Cumbrae. We are ideally suited for a golf break being close to numerous famous courses including Prestwick, Western Gailes, Royal Troon and Turnberry.. At Blair we offer a special wedding service to a few select weddings each year. You will have full assistance with every aspect to your wedding to ensure a perfect day to remember.
