Birsay Outdoor Centre - Getting There
Getting there from the Information Centre
From Kirkwall T.I.C. go out of Broad Street on to Castle Street then turn right on to Junction Road. Follow this road for 8 miles then turn right on to A967. Continue through Dounby village to Birsay. The centre is on the left past the community centre. From Stromness T.I.C. go on to Ferry road (A965) then turn left on to the A967 continue for 9 miles then turn left at the Phone box. The Birsay Centre is 2 miles on the left just past the community centre.
Getting There by Railway
Scotrail from all Scottish departures to either Thurso or Wick or Aberdeen.
Getting there by Aeroplane
British Airways (UK) either from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Wick or Sumburgh (Shetland) to Kirkwall (Orkney).
The Centre is approx. 20 miles from Kirkwall airport.
