Iona Hostel - Getting There
Getting there from the Information Centre
From Craignure Tourist Information Centre (at the ticket office) either take your car or bus across the Ross of Mull to Fionnphort. 10 minute Ferry trip across the Sound of Mull to Iona. From Iona pier , walk past Nunnery and Abbey along to North end of Island (approx 1 mile) Iona Hostel is the last turning on the left at the end of this road.
Getting There by Railway
From Oban Railway Station turn right on to pier and take the Ferry to Craignure on the Isle of Mull. You can take your car on this ferry and then drive across The Ross of Mull to Fionnphort and the Iona Ferry. Alternatively you can take a bus from Craignure straight to Fionnphort (check for bus times connecting with ferrys). It is a ten minute ferry trip to Iona, no cars are allowed on the Island. There is a car park at the St Columba Centre in Fionnphort.
Getting there by Aeroplane
From Glasgow Airport, either drive or take the train (from Queen Street Station) to Oban. From Oban take the Ferry to Craignure on the Isle of Mull. You can take your car on this ferry and then drive across The Ross of Mull to Fionnphort and the Iona Ferry. Alternatively you can take a bus from Craignure straight to Fionnphort (check for bus times connecting with ferrys). It is a ten minute ferry trip to Iona, no cars are allowed on the Island. There is a car park at the St Columba Centre in Fionnphort.
