The Duke's

With a spectacular setting above St Andrews, the championship golf course The Duke's gives magnificent panoramic views over the surrounding countryside to the sea. The Duke's is highly regarded as one of the finest heathland championship courses in the British Isles and a 'must play' course for any golfer. Its style ranks alongside the great inland challenges which demand accuracy and inventive play as well as power golf. And with five separate tee positions at every hole, The Duke's has the flexibility and challenge to appeal to golfers at every level.

Old Course View Rooms

The Old Course Rooms, like the Eden Rooms, are an extremely spacious and luxuriously-appointed “home from home”. The main difference is the Old Course Rooms all have direct views of the Old Course. Most of our guests are immediately drawn towards the window - for this is one of the most spectacular views in the world – and find they spend much of their time rooted to this spot

Old Course Suites

The Old Course Suites are truly relaxing – a haven in fact – combining neutral tones with ravishing splashes of the resort’s signature red and green. The lovely, warm décor feels very Scottish yet remains contemporary, with a stunning combination of tactile textiles such as velvet furniture with matching cushions, silk curtains, a Jacques Garcia-designed 100% wool throw on the end of the bed and the pièce de la résistance being the silk-lined walls.

Fairway Suites

The Fairway Suites are a wonderful contrast to the Old Course Suites; with their contemporary, airy and minimalist feel. The Fairway Suites are housed in the Millennium Wing of the resort, which was launched in 2000. Every single Fairway Suite has a magnificent view of the Old Course and the Fife coastline that stretches for miles and miles. These Suites are vast, with an extremely spacious separate lounge containing a WC and mini-kitchen, a large bedroom and large bathroom with a separate walk-in shower and bath facilities.

Deluxe Suite

As soon as you walk into a Deluxe Suite, you may be forgiven for thinking that you are entering a glamorous and decadent theatre set, rather than a hotel bedroom, for these Suites are utterly unique and truly sensational. The eminent French designer Jacques Garcia (of Hôtel Costes, Paris and Hôtel Metropole, Monte Carlo fame) has gone to town with these Suites and you may think more Moulin Rouge than traditional golf resort, which is just one of the reasons why the Old Course Hotel is so utterly unique.

Jigger Inn

This historic building is steeped in history. It dates back to the 1850s, when it was the station master’s lodge and the history and heritage live on. Today, the Jigger Inn is home to golfing memorabilia, crackling open-hearth fires, home-cooked food and a superb selection of Scottish beers – this is traditional Scottish pub hospitality at its very best. You’ll find many caddies enjoying a pint after a long game of golf, and many golfers intent to hear all the gossip, which – needless to say - revolves around the game!

Conservatory

Enjoy a decadent afternoon tea in the beautiful surroundings of the Conservatory. The award-winning afternoon tea experience serves a delicious selection of delicate pastries and cakes, created by the hotel’s Pastry Chef, including home-made plain and fruit scones and lemon pancakes with clotted cream and strawberry & pink champagne preserve.
