Creagan House Restaurant with Accommodation
The house is located just a few hundred yards north of the highland village of Strathyre on the A84 between Callander and Balquhidder. Behind us are the forested slopes of the hills across to Glen Ample, and facing us to the west is the local 'mountain', Bein an Sidhean with the river Balvaig meandering down the glen at its feet.
Having gained experience in a number of top quality hotels, Gordon and Cherry realised their ambition to own their own restaurant when in 1986 they bought Creagan House. Now older, a bit wiser, and proud to have won many awards over the years, especially the much coveted red star award for all round excellence, two rosettes for the cuisine, and being listed as one of the top 200 hotels in Britain and Ireland by the AA. They are also listed in the Good Food Guide.
Their greatest satisfaction is seeing so many of their guests return as good friends.
The restaurant is no smoking throughout and is closed on Thursday evenings.
