The Green Inn
Since buying the Green Inn in 2002 we have made several improvements to what was already a highly thought of, award winning, restaurant with rooms. For example, the addition of a large and welcoming conservatory complete with wood burning stove now enables you to relax with an aperitif, whilst choosing from the imaginative menu.
Trevor and Evelyn O'Halloran with Head Chef, son Chris, are very aware of the excellent reputation, which the Inn has, deservedly, achieved over the years and appreciate that guests have come to expect an exceptionally high standard of cuisine, in a relaxed and informal environment. This reputation is being maintained, whilst making some welcome changes. Full central heating has been installed throughout the Inn and the letting bedrooms have been upgraded, all with new bathrooms. A welcoming lounge bar area has been added and the residents lounge has been fully refurbished.
Chris O'Halloran has held several senior positions over the last twelve years, gaining experience and a reputation for fine food. Prior to becoming Head Chef at the Inn he spent time at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons, Raymond Blanc's renowned Hotel near Oxford.
Should you wish to enjoy dinner without the thought of a drive home, why not stay overnight in one of our comfortable en-suite rooms? Once you have experienced one of our delicious breakfasts, you may decide to stay longer and spend time exploring Ballater, fishing, enjoying the scenery of Royal Deeside or perhaps visiting nearby Balmoral Castle. Whether your interest is merely "fine dining" or you wish to experience this most beautiful part of Scotland, you are assured warm hospitality and the personal attention to detail, which you deserve.
B&B rate is for continental breakfast. £10 supplement per person for full cooked breakfast.
