Places of Interest
There are frequent beautiful Altantic Sunsets and were are right in the middle of the “West Side Heritage Trail”, an easy tour taking in the most famous monuments of Lewis from Arnol Black House, to the ancient most mysterious Standing Stones of Callanish, Broch at Dun Carloway and the restored village at Garenin.
Our wonderful beaches
For the still more active, fine surfing can be had on many of our beaches – this one being one of the most famous in Lewis. In certain conditions the thundering breaks at Dalmore can be heard at Shawbost itself.

Shawbost Beach
Shawbost beach is twenty minutes or so distance by foot along the northern lane past Loch A’ Bhaile. An expanse of white sand where guests can enjoy cliff top walks, relax at the picnic area and take in the cliff formations forged by ravages over the centuries
