Strathyre Forest Cabins are open February to December and are situated by Loch Lubnaig among the scenic lochs and mountains of the Trossachs in Scotland's first National Park. The site is at the heart of Rob Roy country and overlooked by the majestic Ben Ledi which rises steeply to 879 metres (2,882ft) behind the cabins and is snow covered in winter. Strathyre Forest Cabins is the ideal base for hill-walking at all levels, from a gentle stroll on the shore of Loch Lubnaig to a vigorous hike to the summit of Ben Ledi. Cycling is also popular with many cycle trails near by the cabin site. Enjoy the free fishing on Loch Lubnaig alongside the cabin site or the water-skiing, windsurfing or canoeing nearby.
