Barend Chalet (managed by Frank Gourlay)

The chalets are built of solid log in the same way as has been used for many years throughout Scandinavia. They are specially designed for families on holiday.

The A Type, no. 26 has a double bedroom, bathroom (with a shower above the bath) living/dining area and kitchen opening on to a large veranda. Upstairs there is another double bedroom with an en-suite WC and basin, an open plan bedroom/playroom opening onto another balcony. This room will easily sleep four with room for others on folding beds.

We have on C Type, no. 70, which was the last of the 'C' Types to be built. This is a single storey building and is one of the most modern Finnish designs available. It has double and triple glazing and insulation in the walls, roof and floor, It has one double room (with basin) and two rooms (one with bunks) and a bathroom (with a shower above the bath).

It has a large well equipped kitchen and a very spacious living/dining room. It has one of the most comfortable holiday chalets available.

Both chalets have ample cupboards and central heating. Kitchens are equipped with cooker, microwave oven, refrigerator, kettle and toaster. They also have colour TV's and video recorders. All heating, lighting, towels and bedding (except cot bedding) are included.
