Whitecroft is a dream of a country cottage situated in the tranquil village of Homcliffe (which has no through traffic) on the banks of the river Tweed, once famous for salmon fishing (and poaching). Perfect for country walks the cottage is also ideally placed for visits to the many local attractions, the borderlands of Scotland and the coastline and castles of Northumberland, including Lindisfame, the Holy Island. The historic town of Berwick upon Tweed is only four miles away; the town has the only intact Elizabethan walls in Europe. Market days are Wednesday and Saturday with a Farmers Market held at The Maltings Art Theatre on the last Sunday of each month.
The cottage has beams throughout and maintains the original leaded windows, tastefully furnished and well equipped. As well as a wood burning stove and open fire the cottage is centrally heated to ensure a snugly stay whatever the season. Towels and linen are provided along with a hamper of local and home-made produce to welcome you to our lovely area. There is a private and secluded south-facing garden with lawn, patios and flowers. We provide a menu if you wish your meals cooked and delivered to you using the best of local ingredients and the village has a small pub providing a congenial atmosphere, cask ales and bar meals. A travelling shop calls on Tuesday morning selling fruit, vegetables and fish fresh from the quay at Eyemouth.

Upstairs, bathroom with extra large shower, 2 twins (1 with adult sized bunk beds), double with king sized bed and wash basin.
