Where are we?
On the eastern outskirts of Dundee, the quaint seaside town of Broughty Ferry was favoured by the city's jute barons and became known as "the richest square mile in Europe". Its fine seafront esplanade and extensive sands are perfect for a stroll or a picnic after a browse around Broughty's wonderful small shops.
At the heart of the town, 15th century Broughty Castle houses an excellent museum with superb displays on arms and armour, seashore life and the whaling industry.
Broughty Ferry is surrounded by a wealth of diverse attractions - City of Dundee with its rich industrial and seafaring heritage, the home of world golf at historic St. Andrews plus many other famous courses such as Carnoustie and Gleneagles, the delightful county of Angus with its charming towns and villages, majestic glens, rolling countryside and dramatic coastline - there is truly something to suit everyone.
