Heugh Hotel

Granite Baronial mansion with extensive oak panelling; standing in it's own grounds and only a short walk from the town centre. A family run hotel since 1984 the Heugh is very popular locally and well regarded both for the quality of food and the friendly and relaxed, yet professional, atmosphere.

For your dining options we have a bright, pleasant lounge (recently refurbished) and also a more formal Oak Room restuarant both with non smoking areas. The kitchens are headed by Mr.Hermanns, a chef of (too) many years who, of course, uses fresh local produce but also still takes great pride in providing a superb meal whether you are having a special occasion dinner or just a snack.

Most of our bedrooms have recently been upgraded under the watchful eye of Mrs.Hermanns snr. and will provide you with a very comfortable stay. All are en-suite, with either bath, shower or both and feature all the facilities you would expect from a 3 star hotel : TV / tea and coffee making facilities / radio telephone / trouser press / hairdrier / quality toiletries, etc. Room service is also available.

We can cater for small functions (maximum 44 people) and are particularly popular for weddings and wedding anniversaries where lovely photographs can be taken using the Hotel as a background. Ample parking is freely available. Please feel free to contact us with any queries you may have.
