Braemar Lodge

Braemar Lodge Hotel

Information enquiry Booking

Dating from 1870, this splendid Victorian Shooting Lodge is set in its own grounds only two minutes stroll from the centre of Braemar in Royal Deeside.
It has the air of a large family house that has not forgotten its sporting origins and is personally managed by the owners, thus ensuring a continuity of the finest standards.

Guests and non-residents alike can enjoy a delicious meal in our 'touch of tartan' dining room, which offers friendly service and exceptional value dining. From an intimate dinner to a private function we can cater for all your needs.

Of the many locally sourced culinary delights on offer, Scottish ingredients such as Aberdeenshire Angus Beef, Venison, Game, Haggis and Salmon provide inspiration to our chef to create both traditional Scottish cooking and modern recipes.

Our cosy wood panelled Bar, adorned with Sport Trophies boasts the largest selection of Malt Whiskies in the area, which you can savour whilst relaxing in the glow of the log fire.

All of our 7 ensuite bedrooms are cosy and comfortable and have a colour TV and hospitality tray for your convenience.

Braemar is a charming village nestling on 'Royal Deeside' at the very heart of 'The Cairngorms National Park' an area of spectacular beauty and variety. The majestic mountains, rolling heather moorland, forests and rivers provide a stunning backdrop to view the native wildlife, such as red squirrel, red deer and golden eagle.

The many outdoor activites that can be enjoyed nearby include walking, cycling, hill climbing, horse riding, golf and skiing - and, of course, the finest field sports; deer stalking, shooting and fishing.

The history and culture of 'Royal Deeside' is a fascination to many people. Steeped in tradition, the 'Bremer Royal Highland Gathering' is little changed since Queen Victoria first patronised it in 1848, and each September it draws crowds from all over the world. Just 8 miles away sits Balmoral Castle, the summer retreat of the Royal Family since 1852 - they adore this corner of Scotland and return year after year.... and we hope you will too.
