Getting there from the Information Centre

We are a 10 minute walk or five minute taxi/car ride away from the Tourist Information Centre on Princes Street. Turn right out of the centre, pass the Balmoral Hotel and left down Leith Street and onto Leith Walk until you come to the Playhouse Theatre on the right. Just past the theatre, take a right on to Blenheim Place - go up the cobblestone hill which becomes Royal Terrace. Go over the crest of the hill - The Ailsa Craig is approximately 400 yards further down on the right at No. 24.

Getting There by Railway

We are a 10 minute walk from Waverley Station or five minute taxi/car ride away. If walking exit the station onto Princes Street and head east until the end where you turn left onto Leith Street, continue down onto Leith Walk until you see the Playhouse Theatre on the right. Just past the theatre take the next right up the cobblestone hill called Blenheim Place, continue straight and you will enter Royal Terrace just over the crest of the hill. The hotel is situated at No. 24 on the right.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Edinburgh Airport, follow signs to the city centre. From the west end of Princes Street, follow the one-way traffic system on to Queen Street, continue along York Place until you come to a roundabout. Take the first left on to Leith Walk, passing the Playhouse Theatre on your right. At the next roundabout take you second exit on to London Road indicating immediately to turn right up the cobblestone hill into Blenheim Place, then Royal Terrace.
