Knockderry Country House Hotel - Getting There

Getting there from the Information Centre

From Helensburgh TIC: head north along seafront and follow A814 for Arrochar. Go past Faslane and follow signs for Coulport. On reaching Loch Longside, turn South on shore road for 3 miles. Hotel is on the left.

Getting There by Car

From Glasgow city centre take the M8 across the Kingston Bridge and follow signs for the Erskine Bridge North to the A82 where you slip left, west, towards Loch Lomond and Crianlarich. Remain on the A82 bypassing Dumbarton and ignore signs for Helensburgh. Keep Loch Lomond on your right until you reach the signpost for "A817 to Garelochhead" where you turn left up the hill following signs for Coulport. At the roundabout at Coulport take the first exit to the Loch and left along the shore for a mile and a half.

Getting There by Railway

Take the train from Glasgow (nearest city) Queen Street Station to Helensburgh Central and then take the bus as directed elsewhere. Or take the train from Queen Street Station to Garelochhead through Helensburgh Upper and take a taxi (10 mins from the hotel) or the Hotel Taxi subject to availability.

Getting there by Aeroplane

From Glasgow Airport: turn west on M8 and take Erskine Bridge & turn NorthWest on A82 toward Crianlarich. On reaching Loch Lomondside, turn West onto A817 signposted to Garelochhead. Thereafter follow signs for Coulport until reaching Loch Longside. Turn South along the loch and hotel is 3 miles on the left.

Getting There by Ferry

From Kilcreggan Pier: turn left and hotel is 3 miles along the coast.
