Relax in the heated indoor pool, challenge the whole family in the games room, test your aim at the target range, spot red squirrels from the squirrel hide or spend time enjoying mountain biking, and clay pigeon shooting or coarse, trout and river fishing on-site. The Black Loch is well stocked with brown trout and Loch Ronald is renowned for its pike fishing. Both lochs also have launch facilities so why not bring your boat and enjoy boating or sailing on the lochs?
There is also a well-stocked shop, a cosy café, a launderette, full disabled facilities as well as electricity, gas, mains water and drainage connected to each hard standing and well maintained toilet and shower blocks.
Nearby, the Galloway Forest Park is renowned for its secluded 300 square miles of beautiful green forest, wealth of wildlife, majestic mountain scenery and two of the 7stanes mountain biking centres, Glentrool and Kirroughtree. At night, it is also one of the best spots in the UK for stargazing with the naked eye, as it’s the first Dark Sky Park in the UK and one of only two in Europe! Just a short drive will take you to the sandy beaches of Luce Bay or the rocky coves along the coast, an area once famed as the haunt of both smugglers and saints.
