Open all year round, the park has hard standing or grass pitches with water, grey waste and electricity as well as other superb facilities including excellent laundry facilities and spotlessly clean and well-appointed toilets and showers with some suitable for people with mobility difficulties. The friendly owners John and Isabel have many years of caravanning experience and are always on hand to help you plan your day so you can make the most of your time in this beautiful corner of Scotland.
From Braids Caravan Park it is only a short walk to the town and the popular wedding venues of Anvil Hall and the World Famous Blacksmiths Shop, the ancient building that made Gretna Green famous for runaway couples fleeing to marry. This is also an ideal base for golfers with several courses nearby in Dumfries and Annan. Alternatively, if you enjoy fishing, the rivers Esk and Annan are close and there are a whole host of other outdoor activities available nearby. If you fancy a day exploring, head west to the lovely Galloway coast and the historic town of Dumfries and discover its links to Scotland’s National Bard, Robert Burns.
